Bharat Dave completed doctoral studies in computational design at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). He has held positions at many international institutions including the Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA), ETH Zurich (Switzerland), National Institute of Design (Ahmedabad, India), and University of Sydney (Australia). He has served in the faculty as Associate Dean (Outreach), Associate Dean (Research) and Assistant Dean (Information Technology) in the Faculty. He currently serves on the editorial board of the “International Journal of Architectural Computing” (IJAC) and as a reviewer for national and international funding agencies, international journals and conferences.
His research is funded by nationally competitive grants including the Australian Research Council and the University funding schemes. He currently supervises a number of masters and PhD students working on diverse topics including the use of concurrent digital support for multiple design representations, interactive digital media in cultural heritage applications, mobile technology and sociality in architectural environments, changing nature of design and construction sectors supported by information technology, and intelligent architectural environments.
